FIFA world footballer of the year; Ribery deserves it but Renaldo won

The 2013 CAF player of the year award has come and gone, so also is the world footballer of the year which went t o Christian Rolando. From Frank Ribery whom I think should have been given the award, I can only say better luck next time.

Somehow I find it difficult to just declare that John Mikel Obi should just have won, but what can I say. The world and its people are very sentimental and subjective. Otherwise, why was D. Drogba  not awarded in 2012 when he almost single handedly won the champions league for Chelsea, the first in their history. He also inspired the Elephant of Ivory Coast to a runner up medal at the nation’s cup in Guinea and Gabon.

According to Larry Izamoje, coaches and captains should be trained on how to vote since the world has now accepted the goal line technology. I think we should follow that up with well mapped put criteria.
In education, they call it marking scheme. What matters is how much point is made, in boxing it s about how many points scored. Football should not be different. What’s your take?
